For the summer of 2021, the new production of the Accademia Creativa theater company will see a show full of innovation with new techniques such as video-mapping, bangee (aerial discipline with elastic) colored fires, stilts, original music, and large structures like a 7-meter-high windmill that modulates by opening and closing for stage needs. A lion of fire, and stilt structures never seen before.
Don Quixote is not only a Medieval show, but also and above all a show on the values of the past: chivalry, honor, love in the highest sense of the word. Crossing the city, Alonso Chisciano, a man of our times, is convinced that these lost values, which ooze from every wall, from every monument, from every part of the history of our country, must in some way be regained, and is the spokesperson for this conquest with the only weapon he knows: madness. He will decide to go crazy in search of that freedom, of that height of mind that the world seems to have forgotten today. In his eyes, normal men condemned to daily routine, like a herd of sheep, turns into an army of knights from the east; first aid machines a fierce fiery lion led by Genghis Khan's army, who will try in every possible way to bring him back to normal; the windmill (6 and a half meters high) representing all the lost causes becomes an unbeatable giant which, by opening up, will show him the most important choice: to live in miserable daily life, caged in this world of compromises, or to sublimate one's image to madness and enter immortality as an example of liberation. Will Don Quixote kill his bulky slave Alonso Chisciano?
A chess game with the fate of the world.
An image show with large structures, mechanical floats, aerial dance, video mapping, bungee, stilts, stage fireworks, fire, theater (word and image melt together to create a new way of doing show).
After the highly successful experience of the show The Tempest, Accademia Creativa Theater Company accepts the challenge of this new form of show, capable of emotionally overwhelming the public in a space like that of the squares.
